A gallery dedicated to the "Small Constructions" series.

While working on the main "Construction" series, which all are A1 size, I like to take breaks working on smaller formats. This may happen when I am waiting for paint to dry, when I am pondering on possible solutions to problems I encounter along the way, or as a way to try out new compositions, colours or formats. As I am adamant to complete 100 A1 sized "Construction" pieces, I need the outlet "Small Constructions" are providing me, to keep myself from becoming too rigid in my work and keep inspiration and intuition flowing, and keeping the production up.

Some days, I do not feel that I have the stamina, focus or energy to work on the larger artworks. Starting to paint on smaller formats will get me over that threshold easily enough, and my day will take another turn completely, rather than entirely avoiding my work.
